Responsibilities will include running theatre lists, supervision of novice staff, communicating with members of the multi disciplinary team, taking part in quality projects.

The Box Hill Hospital Operating Suite comprises of six Operating Theatres and an Endoscopy Suite, which are located over two levels. You will have responsibility for independently managing multiple projects in the area of health services research. This important work focuses on how and whether health systems work, particularly in relation to people with risky or problematic substance use problems. Our work impacts policy and practice, with the goal of aligning services and systems with the evidence on effectiveness in treatment and service delivery.

You will be required to undertake high level complex research tasks including but not limited to: project design, management, and data analysis report writing, the preparation of funding applications and dissemination of findings to stakeholders and academic audiences. You will be encouraged to develop a particular area of expertise and build your profile and career pathway via competitive fund rounds and peer review publications. There is also an opportunity for you to be involved in graduate teaching programs on substance use.

High calibre candidates will possess a Masters or equivalent in a relevant field as well as relevant research experience. High level qualitative or qualitative research skills are required as are solid skills in the management and timely completion of complex research projects and working in a team environment. Experience in the translation of research to practice or policy and/or a PhD in public health social sciences is highly desirable.

- Provision of individual therapy designed to help develop more effective coping strategies in a manner that is tailor made for the client.
- Provision of focused group therapy programs
- Provision of input to staff to assist in finding therapeutic responses to problematic behaviour on the units.

• Division 1/ Division 3 Registration with the Nurses Board of Victoria
