This grade 3 rehabilitation position will have clinical and team leader responsibilities for the physiotherapy team in the musculoskeletal stream of the Peter James Centre.

The Peter James Centre provides subacute care and as part of Eastern Health is going through an exciting period of change to the management structure and the model of care provided.

The successful candidate will be expected to work closely with colleagues from allied health, nursing and medicine to be an integral part of the changes occurring within this facility and lead the inpatient musculoskeletal team. We are collocated and work closely with our ambulatory care colleagues in the SACS program and our acute colleagues via Box Hill Hospital.

You will also be an integral member of the eastern health musculoskeletal clinical leadership group working to advance this speciality in terms of professional development, innovating ideas and direct clinical care.

With relevant post graduate qualifications, or working toward this, the successful applicant will provide clinical care for this patient cohort, guidance to staff within this stream of care and be part of the central east physiotherapy management team. Experience in providing aqua therapy management to clients and an interest in pool maintenance an advantage.

High calibre candidates will possess a Masters or equivalent in a relevant field as well as relevant research experience. Experience in the translation of research to practice or policy and/or a PhD in public health social sciences is highly desirable.
